Chapter Thirteen: Dragonfly
After her unsuccessful surgery, Clarise decided to donate her body to evil medical science. Having given up hope for her own life, she decided to help others by being the test subject in a series of clinical teleportation trials. In these trials she was sent back and forth from one pod to another to test the safety of the procedure. During one of these tests a fly somehow got stuck in the pod with her and her DNA and the fly's DNA became scrambled together. The doctors were shocked to see her emerge from the pod with a pair of wings and a tail. Clarise begged them to let her keep her new limbs, but the doctors put her back in and reversed the procedure.
